Russell Newman Inc. has appointed two executives to new posts. Victoria Vandagriff has been named executive vice president of sales, and Paula MacDougall has been selected chief merchandising officer. Both will report to Eric Hamburg, chief executive officer.

Vandagriff will be responsible for strategic planning and management of the company’s branded and private label businesses. She was most recently president of the U.S. unit of New Zealand-based Bendon Ltd., which markets and distributes the licensed Elle Macpherson Intimates and Stella McCartney lines, as well as Bendon Sport and Fayreform full-figure bras. Previously, she was senior director of sales for the Lauren division of Polo Ralph Lauren Corp., and executive vice president of sales for the Carole Hochman Group, where she directed brand strategies for sleepwear for the Carole Hochman and licensed Oscar de la Renta labels.

MacDougall, who will oversee design and merchandising for all of the company’s brands and private label, was vice president of merchandising for the Warnaco Group from 2003 to 2007, where she was responsible for the Warner’s and Olga product lines, as well as the launch of the Olga’s Christina bra brand. She is a 17-year veteran of Macy’s and the former Federated Department Stores, where she served in a variety of roles in product development, strategy and team building for the retailer’s intimates business.

Based in Denton, Tex., Russell Newman produces, markets and distributes sleepwear, loungewear and intimate apparel by KN Karen Neuburger, Carol Malony, Cypress, Cypress Bed, Bath and Spa, St. Eve, St. Eve Kids and the licensed Laura Ashley brand.
