Spring sprung up on the couture runways, where designers offered a veritable bouquet of buds and blossoms. Case in point: Giorgio Armani's one-shouldered number for Armani Privé, worn with a geometric flower belt and covered in fan appliqués that suggest modernist blooms.

The subject was roses — along with peonies and irises — as couturiers in Paris played with all manner of spring floral motifs.
