The retail landscape for denim in Europe — including the departmental assignments of many jeans lines — is changing quickly as the lines separating denim, contemporary and designer become harder to discern.


With jeans specialists making more forays into nondenim ready-to-wear and contemporary fashion brands, adding jeans elements to their assortments, department stores are rejiggering their layouts and merchandising accordingly.
