Kohl’s was named the exclusive U.S. retailer for Hang Ten, a California lifestyle brand, and will partner with Quiksilver to design the collection, the department store and American Brand Holdings said Thursday.

Hang Ten, which targets young shoppers, will launch in 2009 in about 240 Kohl’s stores and online, and will eventually expand to all stores nationwide.
“This partnership strengthens our position in the sportswear category,” said Kevin Mansell, president of Kohl’s Corp.

Kohl’s currently has the Tony Hawk brand and will launch Fila Sport in the fall.
