PARIS — Emanuel Ungaro SAS has lured American turnaround expert Jeffry Aronsson as its new chief executive officer, WWD has learned.
Aronsson, who has been chief executive at Donna Karan International, Marc Jacobs International and Oscar de la Renta, also heads a New York-based investment and advisory firm. Founded in New York in 2006, Aronsson Group offers strategic consulting in the fashion and retail sectors, and holds a minority stake in English designer company Matthew Williamson. Sources said it’s conceivable the group could make an equity investment in Ungaro in the future.

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
