IN THE MONEY: Lucas Nascimento, 1205 and Marques’ Almeida have been awarded NewGen catwalk sponsorships for the spring-summer 2015 season.

The labels will show during London Fashion Week under the NewGen scheme, which is sponsored by Topshop and overseen by the British Fashion Council.

Ashley Williams, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Ryan Lo have all won presentation sponsorships, while Claire Barrow has secured funds to exhibit her collection during London Fashion Week, which runs from Sept. 12 to 16.
The NewGen designers will be given their own showroom for four hours after their show or presentation so that buyers have the opportunity to make sales appointments, the British Fashion Council said Tuesday.

Founded in 1993, NewGen is the BFC’s central scheme to support emerging talents whose ambition is to build global, high-end fashion brands. The BFC, with support from the NewGen committee and Topshop, also delivers individualized support and business seminars to assist designers as they build their infrastructure and skills.

Previous NewGen winners include Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou, Nicholas Kirkwood, Roksanda Ilincic and Simone Rocha.
