LONDON — Chloé is set to partner with Studio Voltaire, a London-based arts organization, on its biennial project House of Voltaire, a temporary shop that is to open in central London in November.
Chloé will support the shop, which is set to carry artworks, home wares, clothing and accessories by contemporary artists and designers. Merchandise is to include limited edition Chloé clothing and accessories that Chloé's creative director Clare Waight Keller has designed with the artists Cao Fei, Karen Kilimnik and Jenny Saville.
The shop will also carry artworks and designs that have been created by pairs of artists and fashion designers. The duos who have worked together include Simone Rocha and Kim Gordon; Roksanda Ilincic and Eva Rothschild; and Sibling and Jim Lambie. Funds raised by the project will go towards supporting Studio Voltaire’s gallery and education program. Prices for the pieces in the shop will run from 1 pound, or $1.66, through to 30,000 pounds, or $49,800. A selection of items are to be sold at Net-a-porter.
Waight Keller said that she had “been waiting for the right moment to get involved [with Studio Voltaire] in a meaningful way.” “Choosing female artists from around the world to participate connects the concept with the maison, as Chloé has always had a very close and emotional connection with women,” she said.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
