MILAN – Italian jeweler Damiani SpA feted the re-launch of the upscale Calderoni 1840 brand it acquired two years ago with the opening of a new boutique here Wednesday.

The 330-square-foot Calderoni 1840 unit on via Montenapoleone in Milan’s prestigious “Golden Triangle” shopping district blends classic and modern materials and furnishings, the company said.

“We are particularly satisfied with the return of Calderoni in the heart of Milan,” Damiani president and chief executive officer Guido Damiani stated. “We are also as proud to be able to number in our group a brand with such a deep-rooted history in the world of high-end jewelry.”

The re-launch is part of Damiani’s strategy to widen its brand portfolio, targeting the top end of the jewelry market. The company intends to distribute Calderoni 1840 via selected doors in Italy and abroad.
