There's nothing dressed-down about the latest pre-fall collections. At Yves Saint Laurent, Stefano Pilati offers luxury with a hint of retro, as in a feather-trim cocktail dress. Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci channels the Flemish Masters on a base of austere black, done up with whimsical flourishes such as clusters of ostrich feathers. Christian Lacroix, meanwhile, has the chic — and a bit flamboyant — mademoiselle on his mind, evident in a jewel-embroidered cocktail dress and a bold two-toned fox fur stole worn as a collar.
"You start one way as a baby, but why shouldn't you be able to choose your own path as opposed to culturally people telling you which way to go?" - Thom Browne at his men's spring 2018 show, where he celebrated gender fluidity. #pfw #wwdmens (📷: @delphineachard)
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
