Gilt Groupe is staffing up for the launch of its full-price men’s Web site next year. On Tuesday, the New York-based online retailer said that it has tapped Chris Ventry as category director and head of business operations and Josh Peskowitz as style director. Ventry has been with consulting firms Alix Partners and Kurt Salmon Associates and has also served as chief operating officer of Rogan and Loomstate. Peskowitz was formerly style editor of Esquire.com. He had also been fashion editor of Men.Style.com and has worked for magazines including Vibe, Cargo, Stuff and The Fader. “With Chris’ depth of understanding and expertise in retail management and operations, and Josh’s breadth of knowledge and keen eye for style, we’re building a truly best-in-class team, and the new men’s full-price retail site will elevate the bar,” said John Auerbach, president of Gilt Groupe’s new full-price men’s retail site. The site is scheduled to launch next summer.
