PARIS — Kering’s sustainability efforts have not gone unnoticed.
The French group, which comprises brands including Gucci, Boucheron and Stella McCartney, was added to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), the company announced on Tuesday.
The DJSI tracks the performance of the 2,500 companies listed in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index. Only 12 out of the 89 companies assessed this year made the cut in Kering’s industry sector.
In addition, the French group was rated a leader of luxury and apparel industries in the carbon disclosure project, an annual survey assessing how climate change issues are incorporated into a company’s governance policies.
