JOBS AT STAKE: Kering expects the forthcoming sale of La Redoute to have a “significant” impact on jobs at the French catalogue retailer, a spokesman said Wednesday in response to union claims that 700 positions are at stake. He declined to give any estimate of how many employees could lose their jobs.
 
The sale of La Redoute, Kering’s last remaining retail holding, could be finalized in the next few weeks, he added. The conglomerate, which is recentering its brand portfolio on the luxury and sport/lifestyle segments, is studying offers from three potential buyers.
