Tim Ceci, director of the men’s store at Barneys New York, has joined Laboratory Institute of Merchandising as an adjunct professor in the management department. Ceci, who is currently teaching the retail management course at LIM, has also served as director of the women’s store for the retailer. He has worked at National Geographic, Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Niketown and Pier 1 Imports in New York City, and he oversaw the expansion and management of Gap stores in Europe. “Retail is all about change, which we’ll continue to see evolve even more dramatically in the years ahead,” Ceci said. “There’s nothing better than assisting future talent as they learn about where we are now in this business and what exciting opportunities lay ahead.”
