LONDON — The British Fashion Council said the third season of London Collections: Men would be shown from June 16 to 18, presenting another calendar conflict with Pitti Uomo, which starts on June 18.

“Following conversations with many of the key international buyers and press who travel to Europe for men's wear, these dates were recognized as the optimum solution, allowing ample time at both showcases. The crossover was discussed with the organizers of Pitti Uomo ahead of our announcement, and we believe we can work together to the benefit of everyone attending London Collections: Men and Pitti,” said Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council.

"I was in London ten days ago discussing this and it is a jointdecision" between Pitti and London men's fashion week organizers,Raffaello Napoleone, ceo of Pitti Immagine, said. "We think for now itis very manageable. In January we also had an overlap but the number ofEnglish buyers at the fair actually increased. The important thing is toprovide people with a good working environment at the fair."
