Liz Claiborne isn't the only apparel resource that has wooed Isaac Mizrahi — the designer on Tuesday unveiled a fur licensing deal with David Goodman, president of Goodman Couture.

Mizrahi and Goodman have collaborated in recent seasons and share a similar philosophy, according to the designer. Goodman learned the ropes from his late father, Gus, who was known as the "Furrier to the Designers," and worked with Norman Norell, Bonnie Cashin, Adele Simpson, Oscar de la Renta and Pauline Trigère, among others. In fact, the younger Goodman started out in the industry at the age of 11 or 12 working summers for his father, running deliveries to various designers. In the early Nineties, Gus Goodman provided fur trims for Mizrahi's signature collection. Over the years Mizrahi has had various fur licenses.
