MILAN — Moschino is launching its first online store on Monday and it will be powered by Yoox, the Bologna, Italy-based e-tailer and e-commerce provider.
Clothes and accessories from the Moschino and Love Moschino women’s and men’s collections, as well as from the Cheap and Chic brand, will be available on the site. The virtual boutique first will be accessible in Europe and the U.S. and will reflect the quirky and ironic mood and style of the brick-and-mortar Moschino boutiques. To mark the launch of the site, model Amber Le Bon, the 19-year-old daughter of Yasmin and Simon Le Bon, will guest edit the virtual store, with a shoot featuring looks from the Cheap and Chic collection. The company also will offer an accessory created exclusively for the online boutique to its first 500 customers.
“I am attracted and curious to extend and experiment [with] Moschino’s creativity on the Internet,” said Rossella Jardini, Moschino’s creative director. Jardini defined Yoox as the “ideal partner” for a high-quality service.
Federico Marchetti, founder and chief executive officer of Yoox Group, said Moschino “has always been synonymous with originality and fun, just like Yoox.”
