Oscar de la Renta has named Paul O’Regan to the new post of executive vice president of global communications.
He joins the company Aug. 18, and will oversee all of the brand’s corporate communications, including advertising, marketing, public relations, special events, celebrity dressing and management of runway shows. O’Regan will be based in New York and report to Alex Bolen, president and chief executive officer of Oscar de la Renta Ltd.
Most recently, O’Regan was worldwide director of media buying and planning at Gucci Group. Prior to that, he worked at Polo Ralph Lauren in both the p.r. and buying departments. His experience also includes a run at Merrill Lynch where he spent time in the mergers and acquisitions department.
O’Regan assumes some of the responsibilities previously handled by Nacole Snoep, who exited Oscar de la Renta Inc. this month. She is now vice president, public relations, women’s collection, celebrity and beauty at Calvin Klein.
