PARIS — Stefano Pilati will forgo the runway in January and unveil a new format for his next Yves Saint Laurent men's wear collection.
The designer plans to host an event Jan. 16, followed by a private dinner, on the eve of men's fashion week here, which runs through Jan. 20.
A YSL spokesman said the change is not a cost-cutting measure, but rather Pilati's wish to find a new way to communicate his men's wear message. Particulars about the event are still being defined, and it will be followed by two days of press appointments, the spokesman added.
"I was driving back on Saturday afternoon from the beach, and I just saw this sign saying 'Skydiving for $95.' And I was like, I can't not sky dive for $95," says Tom Bateman about a moment in Hawaii while shooting "Snatched." #wwdeye (📷: @vsteves; Interview by @ktauer; Styled by @thealexbadia)
