Versace Taps Marc Duhm

Gianni Versace SpA poached its third executive in four months from rival Jil Sander AG, naming Marc Duhm director of wholesale worldwide for the Versace label.

MILAN — Gianni Versace SpA on Tuesday poached its third executive in four months from rival Jil Sander AG, naming Marc Duhm director of wholesale worldwide for the Versace label.

Duhm, 39, succeeds Loredana Nastro, who quit Versace after former chief executive officer Giancarlo Di Risio exited the firm in June. Duhm will be responsible for the development and growth of Versace’s wholesale distribution globally — a role he covered at Jil Sander for the last three years — and will report to Di Risio’s successor and former Jil Sander ceo, Gian Giacomo Ferraris.

Duhm is also reunited with Versace’s new ceo in the U.S., Michele Sodi, who switched camps last week.

“It is a pleasure to join the world of Versace and to participate to its success and growth,” Duhm stated.

Tokyo-listed apparel group Onward Holdings Co. Ltd. acquired Jil Sander from private equity firm Change Capital Partners in September last year.
