Simona Zerchi has been named president of Casadei USA.

Zerchi, who was most recently president of Celine under the LVMH Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy umbrella, reports to Cesare Casadei, creative director of the 50-year-old Italian accessories and footwear firm. Zerchi succeeds Sebastian Marzaro.

Casadei said Zerchi’s “knowledge and experience working in the luxury goods industry is exceptional and her enthusiasm is a wonderful addition to the Casadei team.”

Zerchi is responsible for managing the brand’s business and distribution in the U.S. Prior to Celine, Zerchi spent more than a decade at Prada USA Corp., starting as a sales and merchandise footwear coordinator at Prada and Miu Miu in 1997 and rising to vice president of wholesale and retail for Miu Miu, a post she exited last year.

She said Monday, “I see great potential to grow [the brand’s] existing presence in the U.S.” Casadei is sold in 500 boutiques worldwide.
