NEW YORK — Calvin Klein has canceled his CK Calvin Klein show under the Bryant Park tents next month.

“There’s no reason…We did a retail presentation in the showroom this week. This is the market right now,” said Lynn Tesoro, a spokeswoman for Klein.

According to Fern Mallis, executive director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, she was informed Wednesday night that Klein won’t show his CK bridge sportswear line during the 7th on Sixth spring collections week. The CFDA organizes the Bryant Park shows.

Klein was scheduled to show CK on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. He will, however, show his signature collection in Bryant Park on Friday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m.

“He’s not abandoning the tents to show somewhere else,” Mallis said.

“It has nothing to do with the tents,” confirmed Tesoro. “It’s just one of those decisions.”

Meanwhile, Mallis said the opening dates of show week may change because of Klein’s cancellation. DKNY was scheduled to start show week on Saturday, Oct. 29, to be followed that evening by Ralph by Ralph Lauren, the designer’s less-expensive line. Instead, both collections will probably move to Sunday, which will become the kickoff day, said Mallis.
