NEW YORK — At last, decadence is back! Last Thursday night the city weathered two major blowouts: Rena Kirdar Sindi’s bash at the Versace boutique and Marc Jacobs’ Moulin Rouge-themed company party. The former boasted hundreds of social types in their glittering best, with Sindi herself decked out with three diamond watches on one wrist. At the Jacobs’ fete, costumed guests were entertained by 58 performers, from cancan dancers to sword swallowers. Here, Serena Boardman in Versace and Elisabeth Kieselstein-Cord kick up their heels at Sindi’s party on the crowded dance floor. For more on the revelries see pages 8 and 9.
