MILAN — Giorgio Armani will have a busy fall, with the opening of 14 new boutiques scheduled after the summer.
The new shops will bring the total number of Armani boutiques opened this year to 22.
Three Giorgio Armani boutiques will open in Zurich, Switzerland, Athens, Greece and Vienna, Austria. Two Armani Collezioni boutiques will open in Shenzen, China, and in Kiev, Russia, as well.
Emporio Armani will open in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, while Armani Jeans will open in Verona, Italy, and Dubai.
Armani Casa will open in Moscow, Zurich and Riyadh, while Armani Junior will open in Dubai.
An Armani/Chater House megastore opening in Hong Kong, on Chater Road,will be the second-biggest Armani store in the world, after the store on Via Manzoni here. For the first time, the Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani collections will be sold together with the Armani Jeans line, Armani Casa and Armani Cosmetics. There will also be a bookstore, a flower shop and an Emporio Armani Café. The store will cover 21,600 square feet.

EXCLUSIVE: Two and half months after John Targon, cofounder and codesigner of Baja East, was hired as creative director of the contemporary division at Marc Jacobs, he has left the company, WWD has learned. Marc Jacobs International, which is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, confirmed Targon’s departure in a statement: “John Targon is a talented designer and we appreciate the work he has done here.
