PARIS — Nicolas Ghesquière knows a thing or two about asymmetrical looks, and he’s still finding fresh, distinctive ways to interpret them. In his first cruise collection for Balenciaga, the designer set out to make his experimental designs more accessible, by reworking some of his top looks — such as angel dresses, lingerie styles and cargo pants — into understated, easy-to-wear pieces. “I wanted to show something much more classic, more refined,” he says.
