DALLAS -- It wasn't "Viva Las Vegas," but it was definitely showtime at the Paige Parkes modeling agency headbook party last November.
The agency's models had to share the spotlight, though, since the evening was billed as a tribute to Elvis, complete with a pudgy impersonator belting out Presley hits.
Held in a Graceland-like white colonial mansion in Lee Park on Turtle Creek here, the party attracted about 300 models and revelers.
Harley-Davidson motorcycles flanked the front door, and a huge screen inside the candlelit house flashed shots of models featured in the headbook. Nonetheless, the sprawling front porch and expansive lawn was the place to be seen.
Though the calendar said November, the warm, balmy night proved to be reason enough for many of the guests to show off lots of skin, with baby-dolls, miniskirts, sheer column dresses and plunging necklines getting plenty of play.
"Can you believe this weather? It's like the tropics," said Lisa Riccio, surveying the scene. "I guess you could say it's a hot night in the city."
