NEW YORK — The American Apparel & Footwear Association has revealed the list of honorees for its 31st annual American Image Awards dinner at The Grand Hyatt Hotel here on May 12.
This year’s honorees are Blake Krueger, chief executive officer and president of Wolverine World Wide Inc., who will receive the Excellence in Lifestyle Branding award; Mike George, ceo and president of QVC, who will receive the Retailer of the Year award; Gilbert Harrison, founder and chairman of Financo Inc., who will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement award; Norma Kamali who will accept the Designer of the Year award, and Lilly Pulitzer, celebrating 50 years in business, will be presented with the Spirit of a Woman award. In addition, the Fashion Maverick Award will be presented to Mattel’s Barbie in honor of her 50th birthday.
The Educational Foundation for FIT will receive 40 percent of the net proceeds gathered that evening.
