Achtland’s Oliver Lühr and Thomas Benz found a suitable location for their first runway show: The Kronprinzenpalais, a palace with a seedy East German touch behind its stately exterior. It’s that kind of juxtaposition that has generated the young label’s buzz. Looks included a little jacket made from shredded silk stitched into Venetian blind pleats and encrusted with embroidered flowers, and a denim-like fabric — made from silk, wool and linen — for city shorts and slim trousers. Highlights included a blue leather jacket worn over a pink, black, and white zigzag pattern silk dress.
