LONDON — Alexander McQueen won the British Designer of the Year award for the fourth time Thursday night at the Lycra British Style Awards.
McQueen, who was in Milan at the opening of his first store there, said via a live satellite linkup: “It’s sublime. It’s been a fantastic year, and I’m over the moon. I always try to be innovative, original and new, and I suppose I’m doing it right if I won.”
