Think spring. That, at least, is what three brands had in mind Thursday when they showed their new collections. Banana Republic took to the runway with shirtdresses and safari-chic separates that paid homage to the label's heritage; sweeping maxiskirts and coats in acid tones and bold prints kept looks current. At American Eagle Outfitters, LeAnn Nealz gave a surf-town take on the season with hearts, stripes and logo prints on intimates, swimwear and little dresses. And at Brooks Brothers, Simon Kneen showed a Gatsby-esque lineup with ruffled tops and seersucker shorts, while at the company's Black Fleece collection, Thom Browne featured edgier versions of multicolored seersuckers, rep stripes and plaids.
