NEW YORK — Barneys New York has named Simon Doonan senior vice president of creative services, a new position encompassing responsibilities previously handled by Mallory Andrews, who resigned Friday.
Andrews was vice president for publicity and special events and had been with Barneys for 11 years. The company said she resigned to pursue other interests. She could not be reached for comment Monday.
In his new position, Doonan continues as a senior vice president, but adds publicity and store design to his advertising and display responsibilities. He reports to Gene Pressman, co-president and co-chief executive officer. Doonan joined Barneys in 1986 as creative director of display and was promoted to senior vice president in 1992.
Last month, Erica Roseman, a Barneys publicity manager who worked with Andrews, left the store to become director of public relations for Showroom Seven.
