For Ann Taylor’s summer collection, creative director Lisa Axelson said she was thinking about “the dream vacation that those of us who are working women often don’t have the time to take.”
The clothes had the ease of Portofino or Capri, infused with a touch of American classic. For example, a seersucker fabric was used for a Fifties fit-and-flare dress, while striped linen shorts were shown with a tailored blazer and a linen shell top for a look that Axelson described as a summer alternative to the suit.
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
