NEW YORK — Arden B., the contemporary women’s apparel and accessories division of Wet Seal, plans to open its second Manhattan store at 532 Broadway, between Spring and Prince Streets, sometime in the spring.
The retailer signed a 10-year lease for 2,000 square feet of ground-floor space in an early 19th-century SoHo building, according to Robert K. Futterman & Associates LLC, the real estate company that handled negotiations on behalf of Arden B.
“With a new Bloomingdale’s soon to open just one block away and retail neighbors that include Levi’s, Scoop and Skechers, this area of SoHo was a natural place for Arden B.’s next New York location,” said Karen Bellantoni, senior managing director of RKF. Robert Futterman, chief executive officer, was also involved in the talks.
“The space offers co-tenancy, heavy pedestrian traffic and proximity to several subway lines, as well as Banana Republic, Club Monaco, Steve Madden, Victoria’s Secret and Dean & DeLuca stores all nearby,” Bellantoni said. The landlord, Schack & Schack Real Estate Co. LLC, was represented in-house by Ken Schack.
Arden B.’s first Manhattan store is at 1130 Third Avenue.
Wet Seal, based in Foothill Ranch, Calif., operates 614 stores in 46 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, including 483 Wet Seal stores, 100 Arden B. stores and 31 Zutopia stores.
