NEW YORK — Giorgio Armani will deliver the opening address at the International Herald Tribune’s third annual fashion and luxury conference titled “Fashion 2003: Luxury in a Cool Climate” Dec. 4 at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.

Chaired by Suzy Menkes, IHT’s fashion editor, the two-day conference will feature business leaders and designers discussing the challenges of operating in today’s luxury goods marketplace. Among the topics are “Building Brand Value in the Future,” “Timeless Luxury” and “Family Values Versus Corporate Clout.”

Speakers will include Santo Versace, president and co-chief executive of Versace SpA; Sidney Toledano, president of Christian Dior Couture and head of strategy at Fendi; Rosita Missoni, designer, Missoni SpA; Carla Fendi, president and head of communications for Fendi Group, and Ferruccio Ferragamo, ceo of Salvatore Ferragamo Italia SpA.
