Retailing for $52, top-selling colors are chartreuse and baby blue. The item is also a bestseller at Dayton Hudson and Neiman Marcus nationwide.

At the Sporting Woman, an 1,100-square-foot store in Denver, Moving Comfort's MCT line is a bestseller. Made of polyester, rayon and Lycra spandex, the MCT line is designed for runners and outdoor sports enthusiasts. With most shoppers buying sets, popular items are tights at $48.95, a mock turtleneck at $51 and training pants with pockets at $56.95.

Bodywrappers is the brand of choice at SportsFirst, a five-unit pro shop operation based in Birmingham, Ala. Cotton and Lycra bike shorts at $22.95 and bra tops at $21.95 in black, gray and hot pink are the most popular items. The store reported an 80 percent sell-through for four weeks.
