BLENDER IS NAMED MANAGING DIRECTOR OF BENDEL FLAGSHIP
NEW YORK--Gary M. Blender, a 16-year veteran of Saks Fifth Avenue, has been appointed managing director of the Henri Bendel flagship on Fifth Avenue at 56th Street, Bendel's said Tuesday. Blender succeeds Dan Green, who in May was promoted to director of stores for Bendel's, which is a four-unit division of The Limited Inc. Blender will report to Green. Blender was general manager of Saks' Palm Beach Garden store in Florida since 1992. He began his retail career as a member of Saks' executive training program in 1979. Blender rose in responsibilities to become assistant general manager of Saks Fifth Avenue's flagship, a position he held from 1989 until 1992.
