NEW YORK--Marshalls Inc., the off-price division of Melville Corp., has named John Serino executive vice president of stores, a new post. Serino had been senior vice president of stores since joining Marshalls in August 1992. In addition to his previous responsibilities overseeing regional management and store operations, Serino will assume "a leadership role across Melville divisions in identifying best practices and store productivity initiatives," the company said in a statement. Melville's other divisions include Wilson's leather goods, Thom McAn footwear and Linens 'n Things. Serino, who continues as a member of Marshalls management board, reports to Warren D. Feldberg, chairman and chief executive officer of Marshalls.
