NEW YORK--Giorgio Armani, who will open a 12,000-square-foot store here on Madison Avenue and 65th Street in spring 1996, is also negotiating for an Emporio Armani space at 601 Madison Ave., between 57th and 58th Streets. It would be the second Emporio Armani here. The space is currently occupied by Episode and Fratelli Rossetti. An Armani spokeswoman said, "We haven't entered into a formal agreement with [representatives of] that building, but we are having discussions with them." She said she did not know the square footage, but added that the store would probably have more than one level. In addition, the spokeswoman said the company has signed a lease for a boutique at 278 Post St. at San Francisco's Union Square, confirming reports in these pages on Feb. 3. The store is expected to open in September. There are currently six Emporio units in the U.S., including one on 16th Street and Fifth Avenue here. Other Emporio stores are in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Boston and Costa Mesa, Calif.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
