FREDERIQUE JOINS THE LABEL GAME WITH J.C. PENNEY

DALLAS--Add voluptuous model Frederique to the list of celebrities who are turning into apparel labels. Her new line of intimate apparel is set to debut exclusively at J.C. Penney Co. stores in July.
The line is being produced by Jacques Moret Intimates, New York, and will be carried in 500 to 600 Penney's stores.
Retailing from $5 for a dip bikini panty to $36 for a pajama set, the cotton-based line will be initially promoted with some in-store appearances and a heavy marketing campaign, according to executives at both Penney's and Moret.
Frederique is especially known for her sensual appearances in the Victoria's Secret catalog. "After modeling lingerie and trying on so many different styles, I'm an expert on the subject," she said in a telephone interview from Los Angeles Thursday. "I have a very good understanding on how it should fit and what would sell."
