BURLINGTON DENIM STARTS $70 MILLIONEXPANSION PUSH

NEW YORK--In a move that will increase production capacity by 20 percent, Burlington Denim is embarking on a four-year, $70 million expansion program.
"The expansion will add capacity, speed and flexibility, giving us a cost-competitive denim manufacturing operation," said George Henderson 3rd, president and chief executive officer of Burlington Industries, the parent company.
Capital expenditures will be made at Burlington's denim plants in Stonewall, Miss., Mooresville, N.C., and Hillsville, Va.
