If you didn't think fashion was hot, think again. Bill Blass, Donna Karan and Isaac Mizrahi have all been asked to star in a TV commercial for Mercedes Benz. The designers were shown storyboards, but none have yet committed. All were offered a car, money or a donation to their favorite charity. Karan is waiting for more details, but said she's interested because the money goes to charity. Blass admitted, "I would do it because it amuses me." And Mizrahi said, "If Donna and Bill do it, I'll do it." In addition, Mizrahi is getting his very own TV magazine profile. NBC's "Dateline" is planning to run a story next week that will coincide with the premiere of "Unzipped."

The Rome-based mens' wear company Brioni, which dressed Tyrone Power, Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra and Rock Hudson in Hollywood's heyday, is getting a new boost from Tinseltown: Pierce Brosnan wears only Brioni suits in his new role as James Bond in "Goldeneye." He's also been spotted sporting Brioni off the screen.
