CVHA EYES ON-LINE:Marketing and advertising through on-line services will be the focus of the Catawba Valley Hosiery Association's 36th annual meeting. Scheduled for April 4, the event will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Piedmont Center in Hickory, N.C. Charles Powell, a promoter for NandO.net, a Raleigh, N.C-based on-line service, will be the guest speaker. About 300 people are expected to attend, according to Lee Thomas, assistant executive director for the CVHA. During the event, Milton Good, president of Anthony Hosiery, will be inaugurated as the new CVHA president. He will succeed James Good, president of Red Hill Hosiery.
SNORGRASS LEAVES ATKINS: Catherine Snorgrass, hosiery market specialist for Frederick Atkins Inc., plans to resign from the New York buying office as of Friday. She said she will join Weisner Products, New York, a slipper and casual footwear manufacturer and distributor. In her new post, Snorgrass said she will be responsible for merchandising, product development and sales for its licensed Totes slippers. A successor has not yet been named at Atkins.
