USTR LISTS COUNTRIES TO MONITOR FOR TEXTILE COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS

WASHINGTON--Indonesia, Pakistan and Singapore have been put on a U.S. Trade Representative "watch list" for violating textile design copyrights.
The list, released Saturday, is made up of 24 nations being monitored for various intellectual property rights violations. Those countries will be monitored for "progress in implementing commitments with regard to the protection of intellectual property rights and for providing comparable market access for U.S. intellectual property products."
Eight other countries were put on USTR "priority watch lists," which means they could be subject to an investigation. None were said to violate textile design protection.
