NEW YORK--Pete Born has been named a vice president and associate publisher of WWD. Born will continue to oversee the paper's beauty coverage. He has also been named publisher of WWD International Beauty Report, a monthly cosmetics newsletter to be launched in February, with distribution primarily in Europe. Last summer, Born was named a senior editor of WWD. He joined WWD's textiles department in 1977 and became a cosmetics reporter in 1979. Born became senior retail reporter in 1983 and took charge of its beauty coverage in 1990.
