MAIDENFORM SAID TO BE IN TALKS WITH 2 HOLDERS TO ACQUIRE NCC
NEW YORK--Maidenform Worldwide Inc. is negotiating to purchase 92 percent of NCC Industries Inc., according to NCC. NCC said Friday that it has been advised that Maidenform is negotiating with Triumph International Overseas Ltd., owner of 84 percent of NCC, to purchase Triumph's shares. Maidenform is also negotiating to acquire the 8 percent interest of Frank Magrone, president of NCC. The company said that there was no assurance of a definitive agreement. Maidenform officials could not be reached for comment. NCC manufactures innerwear under the Lilyette and Reflections brand names. Maidenform's innerwear lines are sold under the Maidenform, Oscar de la Renta, Self Expressions, Subtract and Flexees names.
