NEW YORK--In an expansion of its top management, Lancaster Group Worldwide has named Udo Webersinke to the new post of president and chief operating officer. Webersinke will remain as a director of the global cosmetics and fragrance company's parent, the Benckiser Group of Ludwigshafen, Germany, but will relocate to Lancaster's headquarters here from Salzburg, Austria. He will continue to report to Peter Harf, chairman and chief executive officer of both Benckiser and Lancaster. He will also continue as executive vice president of Benckiser, responsible for logistics, production and purchasing, a post he has held since 1988. Webersinke joined Benckiser in 1958 and has held a number of key positions. He was responsible for the Austrian subsidiary for 26 years, giving up those responsibilities last year.
