NEW YORK--MTV is dressing up.
The cable music network's fashion program "House of Style" is planning a fashion show and rock concert to be taped during spring collections week here in November.
According to Alisa Bellettini, producer of "House of Style," the show, to be called "Fashionably Loud," will feature the spring designs of Todd Oldham, Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs. While there will be a fashion show, Bellettini emphasized that it won't be a traditional runway show.
She would not say what bands will be appearing, other than to say they will be "major names."
The event will be held Nov. 2 at the Manhattan Center on West 34th Street and will be aired "early in 1996," said Bellettini.
"Fashionably Loud" may become a regular feature on MTV, she said.
"We're already committed to another one next year," she added. "It's so up our alley."
