NEW YORK--Janet Grove has been named senior vice president for fashion accessories, jewelry, handbags, shoes and intimate apparel at Federated Merchandising, the merchandising arm of Federated Department Stores, effective Jan. 2, 1996. She replaces Kathy Mays, who left the firm in April. Grove will report directly to Terry Lundgren, chairman and chief executive officer of Federated Merchandising. Grove is currently with Broadway Stores, Los Angeles, where she is senior vice president and general merchandise manager for the home store, fashion accessories, intimate apparel and shoes. As reported, Federated has acquired Broadway in a deal completed last week. Grove will relocate from Los Angeles and work out of Federated's offices here. The executive began her career at Macy's West in 1973 and held various posts in the home and intimate apparel areas. She joined Broadway in 1992.
