NEW YORK--Gary Malloch has been promoted from president and chief operating officer to president and chief executive officer at Kayser-Roth Corp. There will be no successor named as chief operating officer, according to a Kayser-Roth spokesman. Malloch will continue to be based at Kayser-Roth's headquarters in Greensboro, N.C. In January, Malloch, 52, was promoted from president of the sheer hosiery division to president and chief operating officer, after the firm was acquired by Legwear Holdings Corp., a holding company controlled by Mexican hosiery producer Grupo Synkro SA de CV and a group of individual Mexican investors. As ceo, Malloch takes over a title last held by Robert L. Seelert, who resigned as president and ceo in January. Before joining Kayser-Roth in 1989, Malloch was president of Faberge USA. Besides its own No Nonsense brand of mass-marketed legwear, Kayser-Roth makes the licensed lines of Calvin Klein, Easy Spirit, Hue and Burlington legwear.
