Escape Route
Indulgence is what Posh on Clayton is all about. The Lawrence-ville day spa caters to those who need some pampering. And owner Mary Hamilton knows well how buyers can use a little escape--her husband is children's wear sales rep David Hamilton.
"Who doesn't need a day of indulgence?" she asks.
Located in a quaint old home 30 miles outside the city, Hamilton offers packages with a wide variety of services, including massages, facials, hair cuts, pedicures and waxing. She also serves up homemade lunches for a personalized touch. You'll find bath and body products from Aromatique, Upper Canada, The Thymes Ltd., Claire Burke and Caswell-Massey, along with many gift items.
"There's nothing like this from Lawrenceville to Stone Mountain," said Hamilton. "In Buckhead, there's one on every corner."

Desire to Wire
David Wright says he got into jewelry designing "pretty much by accident." Two years ago, he launched his line, Earlobe Creations, which features a small collection of aluminum wire bracelets and chokers and 120 different styles of earrings.
"I was just playing with this bundle of wire I picked up at work one day, and I made this neat little man. My friends loved it, and I got this idea that I could design some pretty cool earrings with wire."
Wright's earring collection features geometric and abstract shapes, animals, crosses and caricatured human faces. He also does aluminum silhouette display pieces and three-dimensional human figures.
What inspires him? "Sometimes I sit down with an idea in mind, but usually I play around and let the wire take it's own shape. I guess I like to let the metal speak for itself."
Wright shows primarily by word of mouth, but says he would love to find a rep at the Mart. The pieces cost $7 to $8 wholesale.
