NEW YORK--DuPont said it is increasing the prices of its branded and unbranded polyester fiberfill products 5 cents a pound, effective with shipments Sept. 1. Fiberfill is used as insulation in apparel and home furnishings products. "Demand in excess of our production capacity, along with the rising costs of certain raw materials, has caused the increase in price," a DuPont spokesman said. Fiberfill products affected by the increase are Micro-loft, Thermoloft, Thermolite, Quallofil, Hollofil II and Hollofil 808.
